So, your child has aged out of Junior Ranger Camp and they want something more? Our Junior Ranger Journeyman Camp offers youth ages 13-17 service-learning experiences engaging the stories of Johnsonville while helping park rangers preserve and protect our natural and cultural resources. Learn what park rangers do by working side by side with them for three days. Projects will include telling the stories of Johnsonville, basics of interpretation, resource management service projects and a canoe trip. The small group size will offer greater opportunities for learning about career opportunities with Tennessee State Parks. Families are invited to join us for the graduation ceremony where the Journeyman Rangers will demonstrate what they learned from their experience.
Participants will bring their own lunches each day. Wear clothes that may get wet/dirty. Swimsuits, water shoes and towels suggested for Paddle Trip Day. Liability release forms required for all participants. Download Event Document.
